Information We Collect
When you register to become a member of Urban City, we collect your email address, name and other personal information that you submit. Also, as part of your personal profile, you may choose to make available to us additional personal information such as gender, age, occupation, hobbies, interests, zip code, etc., as well as other content, such as blogs, photos, etc. It is entirely up to you whether you want to submit this additional information, and whether you would like to make it available to other members.
When you enter Urban City, we collect your browser type and IP address. This information is gathered for all Urban City visitors. In addition, we store certain information from your browser using "cookies." A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We use session ID cookies to confirm that users are logged in. These cookies terminate once the user closes the browser. By default, we use a persistent cookie that stores your login ID ...but not your password... to make it easier for you to login when you come back to Urban City. You can remove or block this cookie using the settings in your browser if you want to disable this convenience feature.
Chat Rooms, Journals, Message Boards, and Classifieds
Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily post public information to Journals, Message Boards, Classifieds or any other Public Forums that that information can be accessed by the public and can in turn be used by those people to send you unsolicited communications.
Correcting/Updating or Removing Information
Urban-City.net users may modify or remove any of their personal information at any time by logging into their account and accessing features such as Edit Profile and Account Info.
